The Fitchburg LELE Team is Now Recruiting New Participants

Fitchburg, MA – Leaders for Equitable Local Economies (LELE) in Fitchburg is excited to announce that we are actively recruiting new participants for their innovative childcare entrepreneur training program. This program aims to empower individuals interested in starting their own family childcare businesses, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds.

The need for accessible and high-quality childcare options has never been more urgent, and LELE’s training program is designed to address this pressing issue. By providing comprehensive training and support, participants will gain the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the process of establishing and operating a successful childcare business.

“Childcare is a critical need in our community, and we believe that empowering individuals to become childcare entrepreneurs is a powerful way to address this need,” said Marites MacLean, a member of the LELE Fitchburg Team. “Our program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to not only start their own businesses but also make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our area.”

The training program covers essential topics such as early childhood education safety protocols, business management, and licensing assistance. Participants will also receive ongoing mentorship and support from experienced childcare professionals to help guide them through the process.

“We are committed to creating a more equitable childcare system in Fitchburg and beyond,” added Mrs. MacLean. “By providing this training program, we hope to create opportunities for economic empowerment and improve access to high-quality childcare services for families in our community.”

Residents of Ashburnham, Barre, Hubbardston, Templeton, Westminster, and Winchendon, are encouraged to apply. The program is open to individuals of all backgrounds and experiences who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families.
