One time heating assistance (100 gallons) in supplying oil or natural gas ($150 credit) for low income families. Must qualify based on required eligibility documentation.

Helps households pay overdue utility bills. Prevents shutoffs or restores utility service that has already been shut off. Offer payment plans and debt forgiveness. Provides lower rates, up to 35% for low-income customers for gas, electricity, and telephone service, including Lifeline and Link-up phone service. Income-based eligibility and must receive assistance from other programs such as Food Stamps.

Operated by the local Salvation Army Office, this is for those with limited income that are not eligible for fuel assistance. The fund most often helps families or individuals facing an unexpected short-term financial crisis. Your immigration status does not matter for this program.

Depending on the size of your family and your combined gross annual income, you may be eligible to receive a discounted rate for your gas and electric service from Unitil. You may qualify for the Discount Rate Program if you are in a transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC) or in an emergency Aid to Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC)
